REPLACEMENT AND RENOVATION

Fugro is the world’s largest Geo-data specialist, on land as well at sea. Fugro is unique because we perform geotechnical investigations, geotechnical design, Geomonitoring and Asset Monitoring. By considering these elements as a whole, we can offer one integrated solution to map and limit geo-risks during projects. To illustrate this, a recent example from practice of a “Replacement and Renovation” project will be presented in detail. The Observational Method in combination with high-quality Geo-monitoring is explained. This leads to an optimized design and construction method of a construction pit in very soft soil in a polluted area.
